
Carpooling
is a great way to get to and from campus. It will save you money, reduce wear
and tear on your vehicle, help the environment and take some of the stress out
of driving, allowing you to arrive to work refreshed and ready to start your
day.
By carpooling
you:

Can
purchase an annual carpool parking permit at the following reduced rates:
o
$200
for carpools with two members
o
$100
for carpools with three members
o
$50
for carpools with four members
·
Each
Carpool Member receives 2 free daily scratch off permits per month
·
Can
take advantage of reserved parking spaces for carpools (spaces reserved until 2:00
pm)
·
Will
be registered for a chance to win monthly and annual prizes.
Eligibility
You are
eligible to be a Bearly Drivers Carpool Club member
if you meet the following criteria:
·
You
are a full time Danforth, North or West Campus employee
·
Each
carpool member has returned their regular annual Yellow or Red permit
·
There
are two or more members of your carpool
·
All
members have completed and signed the carpool application
·
Primary
Driver fills out the Parking and Transportation Vehicle Registration Form
Anyone found to be in violation of
the Bearly Drivers Carpool Program and/or parking
permit policies set forth by Washington University’s Parking and Transportation
Services is subject to revocation of transportation and/or parking privileges.
Instances of egregious misconduct may result in further administrative,
disciplinary, and/or legal action, up to and including termination of
employment
Forming your carpool
If you don’t already have carpool partners in mind, you can utilize the
Bearly Drivers Ride-Matching Service (a service
provided by GreenRide) to find potential carpool
partners to share your commute. After you register and provide your specific
commute info, you will receive contact information for other Washington
University commuters with similar commutes. This link will connect you to GreenRide and get your carpool started! https://wustl.greenride.com
Applying for a carpool Permit
Download and
complete the Bearly Drivers Carpool Permit
Application here. Each carpool member must meet the eligibility
requirements on the application and each member must complete and sign the
application.
Your carpool
must pick a “Primary Driver” who will be responsible for the permit. This
individual must bring the application to our office at North Campus and also
must fill out the Parking and Transportation Vehicle Registration Form.
If Your
Carpool Changes
If your
carpool disbands, your permit is no longer valid and must be returned
immediately. If your carpool situation changes, please
contact Parking and Transportation Services. If you have further

Please note:
Fraudulent enrollment in a Bearly Drivers Carpool is
a violation of Washington University’s program. The employee(s) will immediately
forfeit parking privileges and are subject to disciplinary action up to and
including termination of employment.
In Case of an Emergency
Guaranteed Ride Home Program: This program provides reimbursement
for a taxi ride home if you or an immediate family member becomes sick or you
have unexpected, unscheduled overtime with no advance warning. All registered Bearly Drivers Carpool Program members will automatically
be registered for this program.
