Permit Holder Information

Thursday, May 14 - Recognition Ceremonies held in the Field House of the Athletic Complex

  • There are two recognition ceremonies scheduled at the Athletic Center and a large number of guests will attend these events. The first is at 10:30 and the second is at 2:30. Attendees for these events have been instructed to park in the Snow Way and the Millbrook/Throop Parking Garages.

  • Friday May 15 - All University Ceremony held in Brookings Quadrangle

In addition to the Commencement Ceremony held in the Quadrangle, other ceremonies and receptions will be happening campus wide. We apologize for any inconvenience, but some parking areas will not be available to permit holders so that we are able to accommodate the parking needs of the many guests on campus for this very special day. Also, traffic will be extremely heavy on campus throughout the day.

  • As a reminder to the campus community, convenient Metro bus and train service is available. Information is available at metrostlouis.org or by calling 935-4140 or 935-5601. Permit holders are also welcome to park in the surface lot at West Campus and bring the train to the Danforth Campus.

  • In order to accommodate an event of this size, traffic and parking will be restricted in several areas on campus -

    1. Parking areas 8, 9, 10, 40, 41, 42, and 43 will be unavailable for general parking. Permit holders will not have access to these areas.

Brookings Circle and the two legs of Brookings will be unavailable.

Chaplin Drive will be closed and not scheduled to reopen until after 1:00 p.m.

The three main areas designated as attendee parking are the lots east of Brookings, Millbrook/Throop Garage, and Snow Way Garage.

  • Additional shuttles will be operating to circulate passengers between parking areas and campus locations from 6:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
