Visitor Parking

Welcome to the campus of Washington University in St. Louis! Visitors are encouraged to use the visitor parking meters located on campus or park in designated visitor parking lots. All visitor parking is indicated in purple on the campus parking map.

Because of the limited amount of visitor parking, faculty, staff, and students with permits should not use visitor parking.

University departments or activity sponsors may make parking arrangements for campus guests in advance of their visit. Members of the University community are encouraged to call Parking Services at (314) 935-5601 so that our staff may assist you in planning your parking and/or transportation for special events and invited guests.

Meters
Visitor Meters are are located in a variety of locations on campus. The cost is 25 cents for 15 minutes (with a maximum of two hours). The enforcement schedule and time limits are indicated on each meter. Many of the parking meters on campus are double-sided, which means that one parking meter accepts coins and marks time for two separate parking spaces. If you are parking at one of these two-sided meters, please make certain that you select the appropriate space after inserting your coins. Visitor parking meters are designated as purple on the Campus Parking Map.

Hourly Parking
Visitor parking is conveniently located in the Danforth University Center Garage. The charge is $1.00 per hour, with a maximum charge of $8.00 for the day. Payment will be required upon exiting the garage; cash and credit cards are accepted. The Danforth University Center Garage is designated as number 82 on the Campus Parking Map.

Pay and Display
Visitor parking is available in the lot east of the Mildred Lane Kemper Art Museum. Display receipt on vehicle dashboard as proof of payment. The cost for parking in this area is $1.00 per hour. The enforcement schedule and time limits are indicated in the parking lot. The Pay and Display parking area is designated as number 2E on the Campus Parking Map.

Day Passes
Visitors to campus may purchase monthly or daily parking permits, which allow for parking in most yellow zones. Daily parking permits are $5.00, a nd are available at the office of Parking Services or at the Campus Bookstore. Please note that Daily Permits are not valid in the Danforth University Center Garage. Monthly permits are $100.00 and may be purchased only from the office of Parking Services.

Weekend Parking
Visitors who will be parking on campus during weekends (from 6:00 p.m. Friday to 7:00 a.m. Monday) are permitted to park in yellow zones without displaying a parking permit (with the exception of the Danforth University Center Garage).
