Car Sharing is smart!
Car Sharing is when members of a community, like Washington University, share a fleet of vehicles. With Car Sharing, you can have a vehicle at your fingertips when you need one, but won't have all the hassle and expense of having a car on campus when you don't! The Car Sharing program on the Washington University campus is called WeCar and is provided by Enterprise.

Car Sharing is simple!

• First, you must be a member to participate, and membership is free. Visit www.wecar.com for membership materials. Membership information along with your key fob will be sent to you once your membership has been processed.

• After your membership has been processed and you receive your materials (approximately 3-5 days), you may reserve a car by simply logging in at www.wecar.com to place your reservation. Car Sharing is available 24 hours/day, seven days a week!

• With a valid reservation online, you just access the vehicle electronically with your key fob and you're off!

• The vehicle must be returned to the reserved WeCar parking space by the end of the reservation time. Simple!

Car Sharing is economical.
With this program, members only use a vehicle when they need one, which means they only pay for a vehicle when they need one! Members pay one low hourly rate which includes gas, physical damage protection, and maintenance. And who wants to pay for the hassle of parking a personal vehicle on campus? Each Car Sharing vehicle has its own RESERVED parking space. No more hunting for a parking space!

Car Sharing is good for the environment.
Studies have shown that similar Car Sharing programs have been successful in significantly reducing the number of vehicles on the road (up to 15 personal vehicles for each Car Sharing vehicle). In addition, the WeCar vehicles on campus are all hybrid vehicles.

Who can Car Share?
Everyone in the Washington University community over 18 is eligible to apply for membership. Find more membership information at www.wecar.com/wustl.
