Permit Options for University College Students

Because most University College classes are held during the evening hours (after 3:30p.m.), the evening student permit is a popular choice among students who are only on campus in the evenings. If you have an evening student permit and you need to park on campus before 3:30p.m., you must adhere to visitor parking policies.

University College students also have the option to purchase the full-time yellow student permit if it proves to be more convenient. University College students may purchase parking permits at the Parking & Transportation Services office during our regular business hours or online. We are not able to add the cost of the permit to your student account; University College students must pay for the permit by cash, check or credit card.

Semester-Long Student Permit Needs

Washington University’s parking permits are not sold by the semester but are instead valid for one fiscal year (July 1 to June 30).

  • FALL SEMESTER
If you only need a parking permit for the fall semester, you may return your parking permit to the Parking & Transportation Services office after you no longer need it and receive a prorated refund. You may request a prorated refund for your parking permit at any time before spring break. After spring break, no refunds will be issued for student parking permits.
  • SPRING SEMESTER
On January 1 of each year, annual student parking permits are prorated to half the full annual cost. If you only need a parking permit for the spring semester, wait until after January 1 and purchase your permit for half-price.
