ParkSmart Permit

Important Alert
Beginning on February 1, all ParkSmart permit holders will shift from the current West Campus location to the South 40 on the Danforth Campus. We anticipate this shift to remain in place through July 31; with the program returning to the original West Campus location at the start of the FY22 permit year. As a ParkSmart permit holder, you will be able to park in any non-reserved/non-designated space in the Shepley or Wallace Garages. The changes are a result of extensive efforts to find and provide lower cost parking alternatives to faculty and staff that regularly come to campus. With lessened demand for on-campus parking, these changes are intended to provide a convenient, cost-effective option for more faculty and staff permit holders.

In order to financially offset these changes, we will temporarily cease West Campus shuttle operations starting February 1 through the duration of this change. The Campus Circulator will be slightly adjusted to include a new stop at Goldfarb, which will be available to passengers starting January 25th. Learn More

Eligible students, faculty and staff who are not able to park near their primary workplace will be able to use the ParkSmart option, which allows permit holders to park at West Campus for less than $11 per month, or $129 total per academic year. In addition, full-time benefits-eligible faculty and staff who earn less than $50,000 per year can purchase the ParkSmart permit for only $42 per academic year.

Employees whose primary work location is at West Campus will not be eligible to purchase a ParkSmart permit.

The permit is valid in only in ParkSmart spaces in the surface lot located east of the West Campus building and on the fourth, fifth and sixth levels of the West Campus Garage, 24 hours a day and seven days a week.

Transportation is readily available between West Campus and the Danforth Campus. Passengers who choose to ride the MetroLink can access the Big Bend station and Skinker stations in less than five minutes.
